My name is Isabel Tennebekk Ekeseth. I grew up in Øygarden and trained as a dancer in Bergen, where I attended Langhaugen High School (2020–2023). During this time, I was also selected to participate in the talent development program På Tå Hev at the Norwegian National Opera & Ballet.
I am currently based in Stavanger, working as a freelance dance artist, and am connected with the multidisciplinary artist workspace KRA Kunst Rom Arbeid.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance from the University of Stavanger (2023–2026), which included an exchange semester at Escola Superior de Dança in Lisbon (2025).
My artistic practice takes the body’s lived experiences as a starting point for research and movement. I am particularly interested in queer dance expressions and how dance can explore identity, relationships, and embodied knowledge.
